Uzbekistan, through people

Three cities of the Silk Road in seven days, by high-speed train.

A journey through the main cities of Uzbekistan, where history, architecture and living traditions meet the rhythm of the country today.

For a first visit: the three main cities in a week with daytime trains, no night transfers and a free afternoon in Bukhara.

In seven days you visit Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara, see the main monuments of the Great Silk Road, taste the national cuisine, walk the bazaars and meet traditional crafts — carpet weaving and Samarkand paper in the village of Konigil. Route: Tashkent → Samarkand → Bukhara → Tashkent, 7 days / 6 nights. The programme may be adjusted to train schedules, weather, opening hours and other practicalities; the overall route and the number of sites stay the same.

  • The UNESCO-listed historic centre of Bukhara
